If you’re interested in health, and in helping other people to have a healthier lifestyle through physical activity, then this qualification would be great for you.
What will I learn?
- Health Benefits: See how staying active can lower the risk of serious illnesses, improve fitness, boost your mood, and help you sleep better.
- What Affects Participation: Learn about barriers like access, motivation, time, and cultural beliefs that might stop people from being active.
- Ways to Get Moving: Find simple ways to be more active, like joining a club, walking or cycling, and encouraging friends to get involved.
- Overcoming Challenges: Get tips to tackle obstacles like lack of interest or embarrassment with education, support, and motivation.

The course consists of four 2-hour sessions. This course will be assessed by learner’s completing a workbook which covers each of the learning outcomes.
Once you have passed the assessment, you will receive a Level 2 qualification in Encouraging Physical Activity. You do not need to complete any other courses before signing up to this.
You can chat with a member of The Life Rooms team to understand what your health and wellbeing goals are, and they can guide you to the courses and qualifications that could support you.
There will be a commitment to attend RSPH courses you have signed up to, so that you have all the information you need for your exam at the end.
