Who is this course for?
This qualification is ideal for anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of mental wellbeing. Learn how mental wellbeing affects individuals and communities, ways to improve and maintain mental health, and how to support others. The course also explores how access to amenities and community resources can impact public health.
What will I learn?
- Understand Mental Wellbeing: Learn what mental wellbeing is, its connection to mental illness, and how it helps individuals thrive.
- Recognise Its Impact: Explore how mental wellbeing influences physical health, relationships, education, and community cohesion.
- Improve Wellbeing: Discover strategies like nutrition, exercise, strong relationships, and mindfulness to enhance mental health.
- Promote Awareness: Gain tools to support others and raise awareness, including the "Five Ways to Wellbeing" and "Ten Keys to Happiness."
The course consists of five 2-hour sessions, followed by a 45-minute multiple-choice assessment.
After passing the assessment, you will earn a Level 2 Qualification in Understanding Mental Wellbeing. While no prior qualifications are required to enrol, completing the Level 1 Award in Health Awareness is recommended.

There will be a commitment to attend RSPH courses you have signed up to, so that you have all the information you need for your exam at the end.
